Jubilee Year of MercyThe Jubilee of Mercy will be inaugurated by Pope Francis on 8 December 2015 in Rome when he will open the Holy Door of Mercy in St. Peter’s Basilica.

An Advent Pack has been prepared and is availabe in the church.

ServiceofRemembranceTo mark the Month’s Mind, an Ecumenical Service of Remembrance for those killed in Paris on Friday 13th November 2015 will be held in the Church of the Sacred Heart on Sunday 13th December at 3:00 pm.

Hosted by the French Community in Ireland and the Parish of Donnybrook.


ARCHBISHOP Diarmuid Martin LAUNCHES FOOD APPEAL 1 1For the third year in a row, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin has asked the parishioners of Dublin to donate food to help stock food banks which provide for those struggling especially in the weeks before Christmas.

Please bring non-perishable food items ONLY to the Church, any Sunday during Mass times or on weekdays to the Parish Centre during office hours (Monday to Friday: 9am – 1pm).

crosscasemigrantAt the request of Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, Crosscare staff in Dublin have begun working on a draft programme of support for refugees. Crosscare is the social care agency of the Archdiocese of Dublin.  Crosscare also plan to work directly with Dublin priests and parishes in co-ordinating appropriate support at local level.

HandsWith the approval of Archbishop Diarmuid Martin and the Trustees of All Hallows College, Pathways: Exploring Faith and Ministry has been incorporated into the Dublin Archdiocese’s Office for Evangelisation and Ecumenism.
