Walk while you canFr. Tony Coote, PP of Mount Merrion, was diagnosed with motor neurone disease earlier this year.  He has started a walk from Letterkenny to Ballydehob to create awareness and raise some much-needed funding for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Research Motor Neurone

WMOF2018 work for Pope FrancisWith just six weeks to go to the World Meeting of Families 2018 in Dublin from 21 – 26 August, the WMOF are opening a new opportunity for those who have availability to volunteer for one day for WMOF2018.

The WMOF are asking for Volunteer Papal Mass Stewards and Holy Communion Team volunteers for the Closing Mass of WMOF2018 which will take place in the Phoenix Park on Sunday 26th August.

Report on Parish Finances 2017We sincerely thank you all who have contributed so generously during the year to our parish funds. These funds are used exclusively to cover day to day running costs of the parish and costs associated with the maintenance of our Church and Parish Buildings.

Dublin Diocesan PilgrimageEach year approximately 2,000 people, some from Donnybrook Parish, travel with the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. The associate membership of the Lourdes Pilgrimage is a means for those of us who remain at home to join in the prayer of the pilgrimage and to contribute to the expenses associated with the participation of those who travel with the pilgrimage as sick pilgrims. On Sunday 2nd September, here in this parish, you will be invited to become an associate member of the Lourdes Pilgrimage.

Pope visit WMOF2018Pope Francis confirmed that he will be travelling to Ireland to take part in World Meeting of Families 2018, which is taking place in Dublin from 21 -26 August 2018.  His visit will bring great joy to Irish Catholics and others, as we prepare to welcome the Holy Father and thousands of families from all over the world to Ireland for this great event.

Newsletter Notice 1 for Fourth National CollectionThe WMOF2018 Fourth National Collection is scheduled to take place in parishes on the weekend of Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June 2018 and will replace the Share Collection.

Prayer For ExamsA book in which you can enter the names of those sitting Exams this year is at the main entrance of the Church. Prayers will be said for the intentions of all those whose names are entered into this book from now to the middle of June.
