Peter McVerry TrustPeter McVerry Trust is a housing and homeless charity established in 1938 to tackle homelessness, drug misuse and social disadvantage. In 2016, Peter McVerry Trust worked with over 4,500 individuals across our many services including housing, homeless, drugs-treatment, under-18’s and prevention. National Novena at KnockThe National Novena to Our Lady of Knock offers nine days of reflection and prayer and a chance to reconnect with your faith in a sacred space.

The programme for this year includes a wonderful line-up of guest speakers and workshops to help enrich and enliven faith. The theme is ‘Living Life to the Full’ and as the title suggests, there will be a strong focus on appreciating the gift of life and finding beauty in the everyday.

Baare Bule at Luuq Hospital, SomaliaA national Church collection will be held on the weekend of 22 July to fund life-saving aid for people currently affected by the devastating hunger crisis in East Africa. The money raised will go directly to Trócaire’s emergency response, which is helping to deliver food, water, healthcare and other life-saving aid to people affected.

This is a two-year, part-time evening programme in Spirituality run in partnership with Lumen in the Lumen Dominican Centre, Sion Hill, Blackrock.

It aims to help you to be more active, open, faithful, confident, trusting and willing to work for change.

Reek Sunday 2017The annual Reek Sunday pilgrimage takes place on the last Sunday in July on Ireland’s holy mountain Croagh Patrick in the Archdiocese of Tuam. This pilgrimage has been carried out uninterrupted for over 1500 years. Croagh Patrick has over 100,000 visitors annually with up to 20,000 making the pilgrimage on Reek Sunday weekend each year. This year’s pilgrimage will take place on Sunday 30 July. Parishioners from all over Ireland are invited to participate in the pilgrimage.

Donnybrook Parish Financial Report June 2017 We sincerely thank all our resident parishioners and those who live outside the parish who have contributed so generously during the period to Parish Funds. These funds are used exclusively to cover day to day running costs of the parish and costs associated with the maintenance of the church and parish buildings.
