Parish Choir

Parish Choir

The Parish Choir is a mixed choir. The choir sings at 12:00 Mass on Sundays and other major liturgical occasions during the year.
Practice is on Sunday at 10.15am – 11.45am in Parish Centre.

Music adds so much to the liturgy and choirs are an integral part of the church’s tradition, so why not consider singing in the choir. Newcomers to the parish are especially welcome. So please join us in the Parish Centre at choir practice time.

Our Parish Choir was established in 1980 and celebrated thirty years in the parish in 2010. It was very appropriate that the Choir sang at Monsignor Sherry’s funeral as he had founded the Choir.

The Choir, together with our parish community, take part in all the important celebrations, including the Christmas and Easter celebrations and the special Mass for the Deceased Members of the parish. We sang at the New Year’s Day Mass for Peace on January 1, 2018.

Some members of the Choir travelled to the Royal Albert Hall, London to take part in “The Really Big Chorus” with 1,500 singers on May 19, 2018.  We sang “The Armed Man” A Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins to mark the 100th anniversary of the First World War.
